Catholic High School Scholarship Deadlines 2026-2027: A Verified Calendar for HSPT Families
Catholic high school scholarships and financial aid run on their own calendar, and it is tighter than most families expect. Aid applications open in the fall, most deadlines land between November and March, and a handful of schools tie merit awards directly to HSPT scores. Miss the window and the money is gone for that year, even if your student is admitted.

Why scholarship deadlines matter for HSPT families
Three timing facts drive everything on this page:
- Aid applications open months before admission decisions. FACTS, the platform most of these schools use, opens its application windows in October and November. St. Ignatius College Prep opens FACTS October 1; Christian Brothers (Sacramento) opens October 4; Notre Dame Prep (Towson) opens October 16; Carondelet opens December 1. You do not need a test score or an acceptance letter to start the aid application, and you should not wait for one.
- Several schools award merit scholarships from HSPT scores. Notre Dame Academy (KY) runs an academic scholarship based on HSPT results, with priority to students who test at NDA; Albertus Magnus (NY) bases its academic/merit scholarship on HSPT results and transcript; Our Lady of the Elms (OH) requires the HSPT at Elms for its merit scholarship; Mount St Charles (RI) awards academic and merit scholarships through its entrance exam. For these programs, HSPT prep timing is scholarship money timing: test early, and test at the school you want to attend.
- Deadlines cluster in a 10-week window (December through March), and late applications lose.Several schools review late or incomplete applications only if funds remain (Calvert Hall, Carondelet), and some explicitly say aid is not guaranteed after a cutoff (Covington Latin’s May 1 acceptance priority). The families who file in the first week of the window get first consideration; the families who file after the deadline compete for leftovers.

- Calvert Hall (MD): prospective-student FACTS deadline moved to December 11, 2026 (was December 10, 2025); the St. Mutien-Marie Wiaux Grant is new with a January 15, 2027 deadline.
- Notre Dame Prep (Towson, MD): FACTS deadline moved to December 18, 2026 (was December 11); the application window is October 16 - December 18.

- Open the FACTS application now if your target school uses it. Windows open in October and November, and you can file before test scores or decisions exist.
- Register for the HSPT at your target school. If the school awards HSPT-based merit (Notre Dame Academy KY, Albertus Magnus NY, Our Lady of the Elms OH, Mount St Charles RI), testing at the school matters. Notre Dame Academy gives scholarship priority to students who test at NDA.
