When do schools get HSPT scores?
The testing school gets the scored report from STS. Parents usually get it from that school. There is no single national release day. How fast a report arrives, and whether it is shared with other high schools on your list, is an admissions-office question for this cycle — not a date we will invent.
The short answer
- Who scores it: Scholastic Testing Service, for the administering school.
- Who tells parents: typically the school, as part of admissions.
- When: after that sitting is scored — often measured in weeks, not the next morning. Ask the office.
What the timeline is not
It is not a College Board-style student portal with a published national date. It is also not the same as how schools use the score for admission, placement, or merit aid. Do parents get HSPT scores directly from STS?
Usually no. Scholastic Testing Service scores the battery and reports to the school that administered the test. Parents typically see a report through that school’s admissions process. Ask the testing school how and when families receive results this cycle.
When do other Catholic high schools on our list get the score?
Only if score-sharing is set up for that sitting. Many dioceses let one HSPT sitting go to several schools the family listed. That is a local form, not an automatic national send. Confirm with each admissions office.
Is there a national HSPT score-release date?
No. Sittings are school-by-school, usually late fall through winter of 8th grade. Reporting follows each school’s calendar. We list verified sittings on school pages and HSPT test dates only with a source. If a day is unpublished, omit it and call the school.
