The short answer
This is not the same as the Mathematics section. It emphasizes numerical reasoning and pattern recognition, so students may know the underlying math but still need to learn the question formats.

How this score fits into the HSPT
Quantitative Skills combines with the other cognitive subtest to form the Total Cognitive Skills score. All five main subtests contribute to the Battery Composite. Schools may interpret section scores differently, so confirm admissions and placement policies with each school.
